According to the latest official announcement from Google, starting from January 2026, the web version of Gmail will cease support for two core features used to integrate third-party email accounts. If you are currently using the Gmail web interface to manage your NCKU official email (@ncku.edu.tw, @mail.ncku.edu.tw, @email.ncku.edu.tw), please take note of the following changes and prepare accordingly:

1. Affected Features:

• Termination of Gmailify: Third-party email accounts will no longer be able to use Gmailify to access Gmail features such as spam filtering, inbox categories, and advanced search.
• End of POP Fetching (Check mail from other accounts): The web version of Gmail will no longer support fetching new emails from other email accounts (e.g., NCKU mail) via the POP protocol.

2. Recommended Actions (Please choose one):

1. Use Webmail: Log in directly to the school’s [Webmail Interface] to send and receive emails.
2. Use Desktop Email Clients: Use software such as Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail on your computer to set up your NCKU official email via POP or IMAP protocols.
3. Use Mobile Apps: Add your account to the Gmail App on your mobile device and select IMAP for the connection.
4. Set Up Auto-Forwarding: Log in to the NCKU Webmail, go to "Preferences" and enable "Auto-Forward" to redirect incoming messages to your frequently used email address.
