Webex Video conferencing System

Service Overview

The Webex Video Conferencing System provides services including virtual meetings and e-learning courses. Any NCKU academic and administrative staff can host meetings over Webex. Students will not need an account. The meeting host will provide a meeting link or meeting number for students to join the meeting. License expiration: May 14, 2026.

Webex Installation and Network Environment Test

Webex is available in web, desktop, and mobile versions.

  1. The web version supports direct use from the browsers.
  2. For better efficacy, users are recommended to download and install the Webex Meetings application on their computers.
  1. When using Webex on mobiles, please download and install the app from the App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android.
  2. Before a meeting, the host and attendees may verify the connection status and quality with the Webex server of their systems with the network testing tools on Webex.
  3. Each virtual meeting room supports 1,000 persons for a period of 24 hours.
  4. Each individual is entitled to 50G of storage space on the Webex cloud. The cloud video files are accessible from the “Record File” on the left side of the NCKU Webex Videoconferencing System

How can a host log in to and use the system?

  1.  Please Webex Videoconferencing System go to the Webex Videoconferencing System and click on “Login” on the upper right.
  2.  Enter zEmployee ID@email.ncku.edu.tw in the email column.
  3.  Users will be directed to the NCKU portal for authentication. Please enter the NCKU portal account and password.
  4.  Connection will be established after passing the authentication.

How can a meeting host convene a meeting and notify the attendees?

A meeting host may select a “real-time meeting” or “scheduled meeting” and send email to notify attendees.

How can attendees join a meeting?

  1. Attendees will not need a Webex account.
  2. Attendees can join a meeting by clicking the meeting notice sent by the host or with the meeting number.
