Introduction

TWAREN(Taiwan Advanced Research & Education Network), being one of Six Year Plans for National Development, is built, operated, administrated and managed by NationalCenter for High-performance Computer (NCHC) of National Applied Research Laboratories to provide a national wide, high bandwidth (20 Gbps), fiber-based backbone for universities and institutes in Taiwan, through which they can access various resources on the world-wide academic and research Internet. NCKU Computer and NetworkCenter, as Tainan GigaPOP for TWAREN, mainly provides services for universities, research institutes in Tainan area to connect to TWAREN.
